Yorkville was founded in 1851 and has stood on its own believing that it is our calling to love our neighbors and be open to all those who seek a relationship with the Lord. We are seeking a leader for a Traditional worship service, to be a shepherd to our congregation, become involved in the community, and help to bring new families into our church.
The purpose of the congregation shall be to worship the Triune God and spread the Christian faith in accordance with "the Great Commission." (Matt 28:19-20). The Board of Deacons and Senior Pastor will perform an annual reviewWord of Life Chapel is an independent, Bible believing church of approximately 175 who attend the morning worship service. Provide monthly reports to the Board of Deacons. Attend board meetings.Accountability: The Worship Discipleship Pastor will report to the Senior Pastor.
Discipleship- Assist the Senior Pastor with overseeing several discipleship ministries.- Assist and provide oversight to youth ministry.- Assist and provide oversight to childrens ministry.Secondary Responsibilities: Attend weekly staff meetings. Musical Worship- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of music ministry and lead blended worship.- Plan practices.- Choose songs.- Develop musicians.- Coordinate audio visual schedule.2. Ability to play and lead vocally and instrumentally (guitar or piano).Primary Responsibilities: 1. Competent in musical ability and discipleship. Agreement with the standard of faith of WOLC. Biblical qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
